Tossing

1 am I am dreaming about the future//

as a teenager I would roll onto

my back and driftwood into tomorrow

when 5 years was long distance--

like sailing around the world in 90 days

(we know that the earth is round because

boats sink on the horizon)

now the future is a to do list and its’ so up

close that I’m wondering if

maybe it is actually now
